At True North K9, we focus on building trust, establishing clear communication, and addressing your dog’s state of mind in our training approach. Our goal is to show you how to help your dog handle big emotions, address behavioral issues affecting your everyday life, and guide your dog in making good choices so that they can achieve as much freedom as possible. PRIVATE TRAINING

  • Private training sessions are perfect for owners who want to be more involved in the foundational training process, and prefer to have in-home, individualized attention. Sessions will be focused on demonstration, education, and fine-tuning skills - so that you are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to do the heavy lifting on your own in between each session. Essentially, we will be training you on how to train your dog - as well as providing education and support along the way.

  • This package includes 3 private training sessions and ongoing communication with your trainer as needed throughout and after completion of the program. Your puppy must be 6 months or younger to enroll.

    We will help you integrate your puppy into your family & lifestyle and aim to set you up for long-term success. We will address:

    • Potty training

    • Crate training

    • Intro to basic commands

    • Structure and boundaries

    • Healthy socialization and exposures

    • Problem puppy behaviors

    • Grooming desensitization

    Investment: $600

  • This package includes 4 private training sessions and ongoing communication with your trainer as needed throughout and after completion of the program.

    Behavioral issues can crop up at any time, regardless of previous training experience. This program is tailored without judgment to owners and dogs who may struggle with the following:

    • Learning basic commands

    • Pulling or lunging on leash

    • Destructive behaviors

    • Inability to settle down

    • Not listening to you outside

    • Pushy behaviors

    • Excessive barking or whining

    • Big reactions to strangers or dogs

    • Fearful behaviors

    • Jumping on guests

    • Other nuisance behaviors

    What’s Included:

    • High quality slip lead or prong collar

    Investment: $800

  • This package includes 6 private training sessions and ongoing communication with your trainer as needed throughout and after completion of the program.

    We believe the e-collar is an invaluable communication tool that allows your dog to enjoy more freedom when conditioned properly and used correctly.

    In addition to everything offered in the foundations package, this program includes E-collar foundations and off-leash introduction.

    What’s Included:

    • High quality slip lead or prong collar

    • Mini Educator e-collar

    Investment: $1,200

  • This package includes 3 private training sessions and ongoing communication with your trainer as needed throughout and after completion of the program.

    This option is available for owners and dogs that have already mastered the basic obedience skills, but are interested in learning e-collar foundations and advancing to off-leash training.

    An evaluation is required before determining if your dog is a good candidate for this package.

    • Mini Educator e-collar

    Investment: $600

  • Graduates of any of our training programs will get exclusive access to:

    • In-home boarding

    • Adventure hikes

    • One-off day trains or private sessions

    We are also available via text in between sessions - and we encourage you to reach out for any reason to ensure your confidence and address any concerns as they arise.

  • It’s important to note that any type of training we provide is intended to be integrated into your everyday lifestyle, and must be reinforced regularly in order to maintain long-term success. No matter which program you choose, we will be there to support you and cheer you on along your training journey.

DAY TRAINS

  • Day training programs are designed for owners who may not have as much time to dedicate to the foundations of training, and are interested in the benefit of having a knowledgeable trainer get to know your dog intimately throughout the process. Your dog will work in a variety of environments, depending on the needs of the group. In addition to training, each dog will have the opportunity to engage in structured play, appropriate socialization, and designated down time.

  • This is a 4 week program that includes 2 full-day training sessions per week, with consistent feedback and instruction given throughout the program so that you can implement these skills in and outside the home. Pickup and drop-off are included!

    We will address issues such as:

    • Learning basic commands

    • Pulling or lunging on leash

    • Destructive behaviors

    • Inability to settle down

    • Not listening to you outside

    • Pushy behaviors

    • Excessive barking or whining

    • Big reactions to strangers or dogs

    • Fearful behaviors

    • Jumping on guests

    • Other nuisance behaviors

    • Two private owner sessions

    Investment: $2,000

  • This is a 6 week program that includes 2 full-day training sessions per week, with consistent feedback and instruction given throughout the program so that you can implement these skills in and outside the home. Pickup and drop-off are included!

    This program includes everything in the foundations package while going beyond the basics to introduce advanced obedience skills, e-collar conditioning, and off-leash reliability.

    What’s Included:

    • High quality slip lead or prong collar

    • Mini Educator e-collar

    • Three private owner sessions

    Investment: $3,000

  • Graduates of any of our training programs will get exclusive access to:
